My speedo is still not working. Do I just put the square cable in the tranny an try to line it up with the gear or what? Any procedure for this woud be great.

Im not sure about how to put it in down on the tranny... i would double check to make sure that it did not come unplugged from the back of your cluster. I just put my 145 mph cluster in and had a hell of a time getting it to work, had to push really hard on the speedo cable to get it to fully click into the back of the speedometer.

I don't think your cable is in wrong, it's the gear drive inside the transmission. A better question would be ... What is the correct way to install a speedo drive gear?
