I have a 9 bolt with precision 373s . They were set up professionally and don't wine. I will be swapping my a4 for a t56 over the winter. My lt1 is making over 400hp. I will either be running drag radials or et streets at the track. Will this rear hold up or should my plans include a 9 inch?
Oh yeah I'm looking for mid to low 12s with a 60 foot of between 1.7 and 1.9.

the manual will shock it a lot more than a auto ever could, unless you have a brake on the auto. i'd wait till it breaks unless you have a extra 2000 to spend.

 

It depends how nice you are to it. If you launch at a reasonable RPM with street tires, it should last you a while. However, if you live at the strip, use DRs, and 5 grand it before dumping the clutch, it will likely break fairly quickly. Since your plans include DRs or et streets, it would be wise to figure on a new rear for it in the future.

Thats pretty much what I figured.
I will have to run either et streets or drag radials. I can get absolutely no traction with street tires.
