Rear Diff Question...

How do you know if your rear diff is going south? What kinda symptoms would I experience?

certain noises, like chattering..

if you have posi, and when you burn out you should leave two of the same tires marks.. if not posi most likely is gone..

if you think you are having rear end problems i would give changing the rear end fluid, and add the correct posi additive..

sometimes people think their rear end is going bad, but they change their fluid and the noises go away and the rear end preforms like it should..

Thanks...I've got a very small leak and I was going to replace the gasket anyway, so it will be getting the fluid change then.

Now the big question...I've got synthetic in there now...do I go with synthetic again, or go back to dino oil?
