I'll need to switch to a 4L80E or a 4l60E right?
Whats the difference between the two above and what do i need to install one other than a different crossmember?

 

You're right, it won't work with a 700R4/4L60, they are not electronically shifted like the 4L60E and 4L80E.
The 4L80E is a heavy overdrive that may be overkill unless you're running serious hp. It also uses more hp.
A 4L60E would bolt in place of a 700R4, it would need a shift controller.

 

The 4L80E is just an overdrive version of the TH400. It has a lousy first gear ratio compared to a 700r4 or 4L60E (2.43 vs. 3.06), so avoid it if possible.

And how could you just up and move to Vancouver on us Thanos? We're gonna miss you at the 3rd gen meetings here in Cowtown ;(

 

Where can i get a torque arm to fit this transmission will the th350 or the th400 Torque arms work?
Where can i pick up a shift controller and for about how much?

Sitting bull, the navy called and i answered It was just logical that i couldnt serve in Calgary But i can now afford to Build an insane Transmission.
I was leaning towards a 700r4 but i just dont know if it will hold up on me.. im looking for a little over 800 hp. Levelten claims their 700r4's will hold up to 800 hp and 650ft/lbs and that their 4L80E will do the same. Art carr has come out with a Tranny brake for the 700r4
I just dont want to grenade a tranny which cost me 3000 + dollars probably in excess of 5 american (4L80E) If my turbos make more HP than i can predict.
