problem with 700r4

problem with 700r4

i was driving along and all of a sudden my car lost all power , and it wont move , well i was told if the drive shaft is moving them its the rearend , but it not moving so it the transmission or something to do with it , i changed the fluids and filter and there were no metal shaving in the fluid and it was still red and didnt smell burnt , can any one tell me what my be the problem

Does Reverse work? How about if you put it down into a manual gear (D), 2 or 1? How about if you let it sit for 20 minutes, will it pull then?

no i let it sit for a day and still wont move in any gear i put it into

Hmmmm, thats very odd. I have seen one time a snapped input shaft. I would be curious if you have line pressure or not. I wonder if its a pump problem or a mechanical breakage.
