rear end gear install prices
how much are you guys paying to have reareng gears put in and would 3.73 be good for my car after I add headers and cat back exhaust, and the trans will be a turbo 350 with probably a 2300-2500 stall. thanks
With the smaller cam and converter 3:42 would be a better choice for mileage and perf. If your thinking of getting a bigger cam and converter down the road go with the 3:73's. I'd charge around $250 and I'd supply the gears (Used but checked thoroughly) but I'm in Va.
going rate around here is $90-$150 depending on who ya go to. and those prices are labor only. i paid $90 for the labor to set up my 9" center section. i supplied the gears and all the bearings at what not cuz i get a discount on em through work.

Just a guess prob .2 faster with the 3:73s but you'll be running 3000 rpm down the road while 3:42's will put you at 2500rpm's.
