figure 4 hours flat rate x the labor rate. i know someone that got one done for 125. i usually get a little more, and i don't do them in the car.

With the smaller cam and converter 3:42 would be a better choice for mileage and perf. If your thinking of getting a bigger cam and converter down the road go with the 3:73's. I'd charge around $250 and I'd supply the gears (Used but checked thoroughly) but I'm in Va.

yeah 3.42 or 3.73 would be good but which will be faster at the track, and will having 3.73 make up the diff at the track for the amount of gas it takes.

going rate around here is $90-$150 depending on who ya go to. and those prices are labor only. i paid $90 for the labor to set up my 9" center section. i supplied the gears and all the bearings at what not cuz i get a discount on em through work.

Just a guess prob .2 faster with the 3:73s but you'll be running 3000 rpm down the road while 3:42's will put you at 2500rpm's.

A buddy of mine owns his own shop he said he'd put my rear in for "book" which i 100 dollars for 1 hour and said it would only take him an hour to install and set.
