Whoa be it to the driveline gods for all your help. If a 10 bolt is a 10 bolt, will the carrier, ring, and pinion (3.73 posi) from my 91 C1500 truck fit into my 88 TA (7.6 2.73 open). Even if it will I will still have to get custom axles I assume. Just wondering because I found another one in a junk yard for $25. If it will not then ebay it goes. I used the search button and came up short. Thanks, Jeff P.

 

It won't physically fit in there.

There are actually 3 GM 10 bolts. The 7 1/2 or 7 5/8, 8.2 and 8.5. Nothing is interchangable. Even the rear covers are different.
