if the vette servo was hanging up, would it affect Reverse as well as 1-2....what other symptoms would I see? Here is what is happening
1. Reverse slipping
2. 1rst slip
3. slides the 1-2 shift.
4 . 3-4 seem fine.
Will reinstalling the servo correct these issues?

 

Depending on what seal you might have damaged, you can have a problem with 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Reverse oil does not go through the Servo. If you found a way to jam the piston into the drum (reverse drum is what the band rides on) I supose you could have a problem but you would have more wrong than that. IF you only changed the servo, recheck your seals and make sure it is full of oil/TV set correctly. If you did anything iside, such as change the Boost Valve go look to make sure the snap ring is in the groove and that all is assembled properly. Otherwise retrace whatever you did just before this started.

 

Looks like its time for a new tranny..... When the tc slipped it took out the front pump....I have a th350 to install..freshly rebuilt, Now to order the spohn conversion kit....thanks for the reply Leo. anyone need 2.. 84 ...27 spline cores..contact me.
