2 Piece speedo cable??
My speedo cable went about 6 months ago in my car. Now, i want to replace it so my check engine light goes off, and so my odometer works again. Problem is, no shop can find the right cable for my car. They claim it is a 'two piece cable', but all the shops around me only have a one piece cable.. Anyone, someone, please help!!

Yes, GM has replaced the old one piece cables with a new two piece cable design. I recently replaced mine in my '86 and it just so happens that exatly where they put the union is where my one piece cable failed. Coincidense?!?!
Anyways, you can get a brand new one at your GM dealer, they do sell them.

I couldn't find my receipt, but I know it wasn't too much. If I remember correctly I think it was $35, so it should cost you somewhere between $35 - $50, no more.
