I have a 85 camaro 2.8. My transmission will only shift on the red line in overdrive. When I drop it back into 2 gear it will shift 1st to 2nd normally. I have been told its the front seal and I have been told it needs to be rebuilt. But i wanted to get some info online first.

 

What about 2nd to 3rd shifts?

I have changed the fluid and the filter but it doesn't hold any fluid it just come back out, at the bellhousing when I put it in gear. People told me it could be my front seal. If you have any info please reply.
