how many miles on average clutch?
I am going to pick up a tranny conversion kit this weekend. which includes the tranny, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, etc ..
all i know for certain, was it had 50,000 miles on the car. don't know if clutch has been replaced or anything.
how long does the average clutch last? and should i just get a new clutch, or will i maybe need a flywheel and\or pressure plate?
i know u can't really tell without looking, but im just wondering what the average life expectancy is for these parts.

The one in my dad's truck went 140,000, and it was geared real high so you had to basically slip the **** out of it. We pulled a trailer with it all the time and it lasted forever. Then once it was replaced they only lasted like 30,000. The reman ones are just junk

160,000 here. They will last a long time if you can drive a stick right with out beating them up and if it is a good clutch. And of course towing is hard on the clutch as well.
My clutch lasted 135,000 miles behind my lo3. Then I destroyed it chasing a rx7 through some traffic. I replaced it with a ram unit, but I have a CF DF waiting for my engine swap. I broke my tranny mount right after replaing the clutch. The old one was definently worn. I say replace it while its all apart. Its worth it.
