The OTHER driveshaft

I've got a TH350 trans and I'm using the stock driveshaft from the original V6/auto application in my 83 Firebird. I understand that this driveshaft is a different length than all the newer ones since GM went to overdrive transmissions. My question: is there a factory aluminum driveshaft for my application, or would I have to have one custom made?

Yeah, I was afraid that was the answer. I know custom alum. driveshafts are pricey- is it worth it for the minimal gains?

Anyone take their car to the strip before and after installing an aluminum driveshaft to see the difference in e.t.?

i did see a difference
the car feels lighter when you get on it
it revs up easier but i got my tpis 3.5" aluminum ds used for 200 and thats the only reason why i got it

your could get a custom one for like 350 i think it might be worth it for you

i tell you at high speeds i have absolotly no vibration now with the aluminum and iff you ahve higher then 3.23 gears i recomend an aluminum ds
