3.23 to 4.11 swap, need speedo gear help...
I hit the jackpot today at the local U-pull-it junkyard...
Found a 4x4 S10 Blazer in the yard with low miles, and a 4.11 posi in it...
Got the whole rear for $35...
Got home and swapped the guts into my '85 Z28...
Works great, but the speedo seems to be WAY off now...
I'm guessing maybe 15-20 mph off...
Went from 3.23 open, to 4.11 posi...
Tire size is 235/60R-15
Anyone know part numbers, or where I can find the speedo gears I need ???
My local GM dealers aren't very helpfull with oddball stuff like this...
Thanks in advance

Your kind of in a grey area. The best I see was a #14 drive (which I'm not sure you can find) and a #44 driven gear.
You can find #15's for 700R4, and a #45 driven gear, but It might be a little off.
You could change the tire size
Maybe you'll have better luck:

BTW: your tire diameter is 26.1

Check out: www.areds.com They sell aftermarket speedometer
gears to transmission rebuilders. The bag has Autry Enterprises
printed on it, but nothing else. I think they also have an 800 #.
Please post your findings
