Limited Slip Additive

Someone on this board had recently said not to add any to a 9 bolt posi rearend. I don't think that is right.
I have a 9 bolt with 3.27 gears and will be changing fluid this week. Should it be used?

Use the GM (posi) additive when you change the rear end fluid. Do not use "Sta-Lube" for rear differential oil under any circumstances.

if you have a clutch type posi you need te additive, if you have a cone type, or mechanical posi you don't need it. the additive is for the clutches.

I always use the GM additive in every 9 bolt I work on.
