LT1 tranny, HELP!!!

i am installing a '95 LT1 in my '92 Z28. i was pulling out the old 5.0 turd, trusting my friend who said that he took out the bolts in the 700R4. i was planning to use that tranny til i got some $$$ or i destroyed it. anyways, my friend was wrong. i ended up breaking the bell housing, and now need a tranny. my questions are:
what is a 4L60E?
what is a 4L80E?
what does it take to swap these in?
what is an approximate cost?
what tranny would u suggest?
plese help me, im kinda in a hurry.

Have a good heli-arc welder put it back together. Bolt everything up to the back of the block, then heli-arc the cracks back together, it will be stronger than before. It might look bad, but it will work.

i thought of that after talking to a friend, he will do it for me. the other reason i asked is i think i ordered the wrong harness, and it is for the two trannys i listed before. that is why i asked those questions. will that harness run the 700R4? i got the harness for a '95 LT1 from painless.
