slight shuddering when starting off in 1st
i just installed a T-56. and got the flyhwheel resurfaced and got a new clutch and pressure plate.. the flywheel looked pretty bad\burnt.. but looked fine when resurfaced. but when i slowly take my foot off the clutch.. the engine\car kinda shudders\shakes.. i can give it gas and it will kinda stop until i finally get my foot all the way off the clutch.. is this just because im maybe not giving it enough gas. or could it be a warped flywheel? also i notice that when driving in 1st or 2nd and i let off the gas to slow down.. say maybe going 10 mph in 1st.. the car will kinda buck like it is missing or like it would if i was going slower.. but i would think at around 10 mph that would be plenty of speed to keep the engine from stalling..
one more thing sometimes when im sitting in neutral. and i have the clutch all the way in.. and i put it into 1st.. i can kinda hear it going into gear. maybe like the clutch wasn't disingaging or something.. but then again i don't have a center console so i can hear every noise the tranny makes..
and the clutch doesn't disengage until about an inch from the clutch pedal bottoming out. normal??

well what clutch did you put in? if its a little bit of a performance clutch it may be normal because it needs higher RPMs to engage properly. As for the 10 mph thing it could just be that you arent use to the different gearing in the new transmission yet.
its just a Ram clutch.. which i learned is a stock replacement when i compared it to what i took off. so maybe its also just it breaking in??
ya the only other manual cars iv driven are little 4 cylinder imports..

Just to make sure, check the drivers side motor mount. I have done a 'few' clutches in my time and for some reason there is a good possibility that you were finishing off a partially torn motor mount when jacking the engine around during a clutch R+R.
Just something to check.

what gears are in the rear?
if you have 2.77s like me, it just doesnt like to take off, so it shudders a lot. just give it a bit more gas, or do like im gonna do and slap in some 3.73s in the rear. i have that same problem right now.

One problem you may be having is the calibrations in the memcal(chip) because the auto and manual cars were different, since your car used to be an auto and you converted it to 6 speed. Just a thought.

ahh i knew this would come up.. i didn't bleed the system cause i don't know how. I do know for a fact that there is NO bleed screw anywhere.. And that when i first installed it, i noticed a little bit of leakage coming out of the master cylinder where the push rod comes in. I filled up the resovour.. and after 4 days of driving, its still full. but i bet there is still air in it..
So my question would be... HOW do u bleed the air out of it?

Ive always just bled them like bleading brakes. instead of using the bleeder screw since there isnt one you just crack the line loose at the slave cylender on the transmission.
