Can I get a shorter tranny dipstick and tube?

After I installed the new converter, I forgot to put the dipstick tube back in. I tried to get it in as best as I could with the tranny installed but it is still smashed against the firewall and may be giving me false readings. Is there a shortened dipstick and tube where it needs to be checked from under the car?

I use a shorty dipstick on my powerglides. Check with TCI or B&M.
Maybe the dipstick will also fit the 700R4.

I see Jegs sell a flexable dipstick tube by Lokar which will work but $60, ouch. Where did you get your shorty tube?

cut the tube the length as needed (eg.=3inch.) and cut the dipstick the same length (3 inch.) and measure up the markings from the cut peice to the new dipstick end.......
