350 Turbo Trans
350 Turbo Trans
My cousins mom is parting out her 74 El Camino Classic. It has a 350 Turbo Transmission, practically new. I want to know if it will work with my 305 CFI that I have in my bird, and if I do, what i'll need to put it in.
Thanks!
Thanks!
it'd help a bit if you said what you had, like year and all. anyway if you have a mechanical speedo it'd work great, eletronic is a little more work. you need a b&m pn 30229 for the torque arm or an aftermarket torque arm and adapter for the cross member (in the b&m kit).

If its an 82 CFI with the th-200 tranny it should bolt right in. That is except for the torque arm. You might get some computre codes though because of the non-functioning tc lock-up system.

The Tranny is from a 74 El Camino. 350 Turbo. I was talking in the chat room last night, and they told me that it wouldn't be much of a difference in performance compared to my 3-speed Tranny I have now. I need a rebuilt anyways, and would rather get a warranty instead of no warranty for that 350 Turbo for $500 bucks.
