Late V6's got WC T5's??
So I went to the junkyard today and found a 2.8 Camaro, model year unknown. Since it was a 2.8 it had to have been from 85-89, BUT the dash had a SECURITY light for VATS leading me to believe it was a 1989 car.
Anyway, it was 1/2 Off Day so I pulled the trans, paid them $55 and brought it home. The trans tag said 1352-177 so I went to www.5speeds.com and it told me the trans was from a 1988 2.8L LB8 V6 Fbody WC .
This makes no sense. How could an '88 car have a security light and when did V6's get WC trannies????
