How to pick the right converter?

I heard you do it but cam specs. I was thinking of getting a ZZ9 cam from TPIS. What converter would be a good chopice for this cam? What are the key factors in deciding?

When you are picking out a torque converter in reference to a cam, you want to go 300 rpms higher than where the power band starts. IE, if your getting a comp cams xtreme energy cam with a power band of 1600-6000, then you want a stall speed of 1900 rpms (300 higher than the initial 1600). If it has a power band of 2000-6000, u want a torque converter with a stall of 2300. And so on, that's the main thing that you want to look at. What kind of cam are you getting, and what kind of TQ's have you been looking at?

NOne as of yet, looking at a ZZ9 cam, vortec heads, 1.6 rockers, scoggin dickey base, tpis runners-plenum, and a tpis tb. Maybe a set of hooker headers, and a mufflex exhaust. I know Precision Industries makes an awesome converter with there Vigilante, but the price is steep. Any suggestions?

Do you know what the powerband is on that cam?? (IE 1600-6000), or a website where it's specs are listed?? And what trans do you have?? A 700, or a Th350?
