differential

does anyone no where I could find out what differential I have by the numbers on it. someone has a 10 bolt differential That I need and I need to make sure it will fit in my rear end. I have a 82 camaro but I swapped in a rear from an 87 RS. I think the ring gears sizes changed around that year from 7.5 to 7.65 or something like that but I still have the original 82 rear end that I will put in if I have too. but I need that diff. the no.s are 410408 with a H or N after it . It also says GM6 with a Big 88 around the numbers. I have pics I can E-mail if I have to.

all thirdgen and fourth gen rears will fit. gm went out of their way to confuse us by calling the rear two differant things 7.5 and 7.62. if you bother to measure a ring gear you'll have a hard time finding anything that's 7.5 or 7.62.
