LS1 Torque converter?

Can I run a LS1 stock torque converter in my stock 89 GTA 350 with a 700R4?

I assume this torque converter is setup with a slightly higher stall then my original one and is still a original GM piece which equals a more reliable unit.

Anyone?

Why not? is the input shaft different? Aren't the 4l60 and 700r4 the same transmissions aside from the 4l60 being electronic?
