4th gen 12 bolt into thirdgen?

Hi all,
I'm thinking about upgrading to a 12 bolt because of the new motor.
I'm thinking since I want to run the 17x11 ZR1/ GS rims, I could have a 12 bolt made up to fit into the 84 Z28 but have hubs from a 4th gen so I can mount the vette rims.
Does this make sense?
SO...
Would it work?
and which offset is right for the third gen to make the tires fit? (Fender already rolled) 36mm or 50 mm?

any other considerations besides sticking with the stock brakes or upgrading ?
Thanks

There is no factory 12 bolt that will be a direct bolt-in. To buy a complete 12 bolt of 9" that's a direct bolt-in, expect to pay around $2000.

4th gens come with a 7 5/8" 10 bolt same as the 90-92 3rd gens except it's about 2" wider on each side.

The 4th gen 10 bolt is a direct swap into a third gen however you need to have proper backspace rims or your tires will stick out too far.
