Ok, no BS, i want a straight answer...

Alright, who has had a STOCK 700R4, and got the B4C kit from GM (the one with the valve and pump boost valve), installed it, and got it to WORK?

Not my friend did it, not i read it in a post, YOU YOURSELF got the kit, installed it in your STOCK 700R4, and got it to work...

Hey, Klayburn. I did mine and it does do exactly what its supposed to do. I can stand on the gas in fourth and it wont downshift. The 2-3 flair that I mentioned in that other post may or may not be related to the install of this kit since I only started having that prob after the install. BUT I could have just uncovered a weak spot in my trans (since parts poured out of it when I pulled it apart) and this kit just MAY have magnified the problem. Anyways WHEN IN FOURTH mine worked fine. Hopefully we'll both get more responses to this post cause Id like to get more input also.

I followed your exact instructions, even had a 92 700R4 service manual, still couldnt get it to work, it made all my shifting out of whack...put stock peices back in, and its good to go, also, mine wouldnt go into OD at WOT...

That kit that he is talking about installing is supposed to allow you to be full throttle in 4th gear without downshifting/upshfit at full throttle.

Im gonna take a stab in the dark here but chances are that the shift points of a stock 700 are WAY above the RPM limits of the average L98. My car has a teensy bit of work done to it allowing it to RPM a little higher but I was still seriously overrevving the engine when letting the car shift itself at WOT. To lower revving cars it would appear that the car would never shift into the next gear. It will......at maybe 5500 or so. Im installing a governor recalibration kit to lower the shift points in mine to fix this problem. I dont think the majority of people know about this mod. From what I have gathered most people loosen their TV cable to get the effect of an earlier shif from decreased line pressure (BAD-Transmissinn killing bad) but this in NOT the way to fix this. The governor kit is.
