Shifter **** Installation

I got a T-handle shifter **** off a new model Monte Carlo, I was wondering if anyone has instructions on how to swap out the *****. Any one who has done this would be helpful, thanx

Axle/Gears: 3.42
is this a manual or auto? if its an auto did you have the ball type or the square type?

auto, but it's the factory IROC-Z automatic shifter

Behind the shift **** is a clip that you can dig out with a flat tip screwdriver, then lift the **** up, sometimes needs a little pressure. The **** you have should fit, put the **** on line up where the clip goes and press the clip it, sometimes needs a little pressure to get the clip in.
