Calling all Aftermarket T-56 and Pro 5.0 owners. Shifter question?

When you gurs got you shifter, which handle did it come with? Is it straight up or angled toward the driver. Or is it angled towards the rear and driver side.

Please post pics if you got them. I would like to see pics of the shifter installed on the t-56 also. Thanks.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's the pro 5.0 that is an "s" shape towards the driver. I'm not crazy about that shifter though. We have a lot of cars that come through the shop with them and they just don't feel right. Kinda notchy.

By the way, I like the factory Hurst shifter the best. It just feels better than the rest.

The aftermarket T-56 comes with the Tremec factory shifter installed already. All you need is a shift "stick" to bolt to the shifter base assembly.

My shifter came with the stick handle angled towards the rear and driver side. Its for the 93-97 F-body and it fits perfictly in the stock location, just like the 5 speed would. My only beef with the thing is the handle is butt ugly to look at (I like the handle to show a little) and the threads are way to long.

Over all I don't care for it much but its better then any stock shifter and it fits really well. If I had the choice again I would try out B&M's shifter because it got that nice aluminum handle and I really liked my B&M I had when the 5 speed was in.

*** Sorry I thought this was for the regular t-56 install not aftermarket ***
