I have a th-350 in my camaro and in first gear, right before it shifts to second, it makes this grinding noise. Not like clutches, but it sounds like the teeth of a gear grinding. After this point everything is fine, along with reverse. Anyone have any idea what this is?

 

does it shift hard from 1st to 2nd gear
