wut do t-5's go for??

hey guys i have a wc-t5 in my 89 bird and i have a pretty hot 350 in front of it and i know its not gonna last that long but i don;t have money to do a tremic swap or t-56 so i am just gonna grab a few t-5's and just throw them in when i blow one. so how much should i be lookin to pay for a working t-5? it doesn;t matter if its a world class or not cause that makes no diff when u are makin this kina power. thanks

The most i'd pay is like 250.00 for one. They're really easy to rebuild, if you don't break the casing. Which I have yet to do.

I did round off the main drive, and countershaft gears though. Hehe.

I looked in the local autofinder and found an 84 T5 for 300 dollars. Well, actually, for 300 dollars I got everything to do with the manual transmission - the drivetrain, the bellhousing, the clutch pedal assembly, even the friggin console. And his shifter. Heh. The tranny only had 60k miles on it - my T5 was goin to the dogs so I needed a new one. Only thing though, my car is electric speedo and this trans is mech so no speedometer for me until I find an adapter...

An adapter? No, just use your speedo gears.

how much power do you think your making? by reading your sig, i would say around 350 hp give or take. a world class should hold that as long as you arent using slicks at the stip a whole lot, they are underated, hell there are stangs with world classes running around 400 horse with no prob. i paid as little as 150 for a complete non world class setup (complete, hydraulics, clutch, bellhousing, flywheel, etc) and as much *** 500 for a non world class. and 50 for a v-6 NWC.
depends, ebay is a wonderful place.

Prolly like 500-520hp at the flywheel. Even with slicks, I've never gotten enough traction. The car should pull 11's.
