replacing valve body

Sometimes, my transmission will not shift to 2nd gear until about 3000 rpms. I have readjusted the tv cable per transfixleo's method and that helped a bit. Other than this, my trans shifts great. I have read in here that this could be caused by a stuck or dirty valve body. This only happens sometimes that is why I think it's some part that gets stuck occassionally. How do I replace this part and which part of the tranny do I look at? I don't really want a shift kit as I just want to keep the stock feel of the car. I would really appreciate any help.

The TransGo Reprogramming kit will fix that problem, and it can be installed to not change how it shifts.

I would first put a quart of K&W transmission stopleak/tune up in it and drive it for a couple weeks then change the fluid/filter and see if that helps.

Okay, I'll try that but if that doesn't work, where abouts do I look for the throttle valve and governor? Anyone have pictures of these 2 parts? My manual doesn't show these 2 parts.
