Axle/Gears: 3.73 Eaton posi-Soon a 9" Ford!
You can install a posi on a disk or drum brake axle. It doesn't matter what type of brakes it has.
How much work and how much it will cost depends on what axle you have, 9 or 10 bolt, what year your car is, and what gear ratio you have now.
If you have a 10 bolt, SLP sells take out zexel posi carriers for $100. But, to use this carrier you need 3.23 gears or lower (higher numerically). Like 3.23, 3.42, 3.73. And, you need 28 spline axles. If your car is 1990 or newer, you already have 28 spline axles. Older rears will require you to swap 1990 or newer axles in to use the zexel posi.
So you answer is we need more info from you to answer your question completely. Look on your option code sticker and see what the "GU#" is. The "GU#" is the axle ratio. You can go to the main page of TGO and decode the numbers and if your axle hasn't been changed, it will tell you what axle ratio you have.
