Blew something in my clutch assembly, please help me.

It's a T5

Well I raced a Mustang 3 days ago, after the race when I would push in my clutch it felt very stiff and had a lump half way down. I went to jack on the box and just as I pulled in a loud boom came out from under my car and my clutch went limp, I had to drive the car home with no clutch by rev "diesel" shifting it.

When I got it home I jacked it up to see that my clutch master cylinder was blown apart. I took it off and installed a new one, when I started bleeding it it got sorta stiff but it would only allow me to push the clutch in half way, as if something was stuck and not allowing me to push it in all the way, when I forced it down I blew my second master clyinder!

My question is if anyone knows what exactly went bad in my clutch assembly??? It can't have anything to do with the tranny itself because I was able to drive it home with ease and it would shift into every gear easily when I was rev shifitng it. My guess is it has to do with something in the bell housing like my clutch is gone.

Has anyone had something like this happen or does anyone know what is going on???

I will be pulling out my tranny for closer inspection but any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

well i'd say you broke something, but you already knew that. i'd be pulling the trans and taking a look at the clutch and preasuer plate, and if you're into it that far it'd be a good idea to replace them

i had somethign similar happen, it ended up being the clutch fork, it has gotten tweaked a little, and because of that caused the slave cyl. to "lock up", and since that didn't move, the master didn't compress, and i broke the retaining clip on the pedal, cause it to go "limp" because it was no longer attached to the master cyl. shaft.

hope that helps, you said you replaced your master, and couldn't compress it, so i would check your slave cyl, and on back all the way to the presure plate , and make sure everything there is in good shape.

I was also thinking it was the clutch fork itself, I will take the tranny off sometime this week and check it out. How much would it cost for a replacement clutch fork?

Anyone else have any ideas?
