hey gusy whenever i go on ebay or look in magazines they have parts for the ford t-5 like stronger gears and different things that they say cure the most common reason why these transmissions fail. now wut i wunna know is is the same stuff thats in our trannies? will all the gears fit? like could i go buy a ford tranny and swap the internals into a gm t-5? thanks

 

does ford use a t5?
i thought they used the t45?
not sure if anything would work.
but i might be wrong.

 

The fNord gears are cut differently. The bearings cross over but nothing else.

 

maybe thats why the ford t-5's seem to be a bit stronger. my freind was runnin 12.40 on street tires spinnin threw 3rd with a supercharged 302 and he the stock t-5 and he said its perfectly fine.
