Price on T-5 clutch job

I wondering what I should do about my t-5. I needs a new clutch, and I've seen that many people seem to like the centerfore d/f one. I don't have the time to do the job myself, so how much should I expect to pay for a clutch job?

Also, I *may* be losing 2nd gear--it barks and kicks out when you shift into it sometimes. Is this "bad?"

So, am I better off saving for a T56 setup, or can I get away with only a clutch job?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I know nothing about manual trannies...

Replacing the clutch and replacing the 2nd gear synchro won't be much compared to a T-56. You're looking at about $500 (I'm guessing, I've always done my own work), and a T-56 is probably gonna cost you $1500.

I'd love to do it myself, but I am way too busy right now, and would probably screw it up anyways...

What you really should do is sell the whole T-5 setup to me really cheap! I even have a 700r4 setup I could trade.
