As many times as I read post about rear end swaps, I still get confused. Here is my situation: 89 Iroc 5-speed (conversion from auto) stock 2.73 rear with drums and 15" iroc wheels. I need a new rear end. Would like a 3 series such as 3.42 ish. What would be the best way of going about this? Someone told me I am restricted to drum rear ends with 15" wheels...is this true as well?

i'd buy 28 spline axles if you don't already have them and a posi from slp. then pick the gears you want and set it up.
