Did Filter Change on my tranny

I did a filter change on my tranny today and used B&M trick shift i just did a search and every one has said nothing but bad things about it. Will it kill my tranny i put 5 qts in. I drove about 40 miles right after doin it didnt have any problems at all no slipping or anything. Will i experience any problems later on the tranny had about 40,000 miles on it. i plan to do my tranny flud in another year. Next time its gonna be all mobil 1.

I would not worry about it. I too have seen lots of posts about the B&M fluid but yet to see any technical reason why it is so bad. It's been around since I had my 74 camaro and my feeling is that if posed any danger to your trans it would have been off the market a long time ago. You will see lots of posts about various things and critisism about products, but most if not all have no basis at all in fact. Most of it is conjecture or simply personal preference. if you are concerned just go to a place where they do a complete flush and have it refilled with stock Dexron III. D3 is an excellent fluid with a large synthetic package anyway. Mobil 1 is good fluid but honestly I don't know if there is really any benefit for an everyday drive car. I like to drop the pan every 15-20k in my cars just to see whats going on. Pan residue tell a lot about the shape of the box. I would not let it bother you, it's not worth the time.

There's nothing bad about it. But nothing special either. It's just regular Type F fluid from some refinery in their locality with blue dye instead of red, sort of like buying "Coastal" at Auto Zone or something like that. You didn't screw anything up, except maybe your wallet. It should work fine, at least, as well as any other ordinary Type F fluid would have.
