Flywheel/pressure plate torque values
Flywheel/pressure plate torque values
Another quick question- does anyone have the torque values for the flywheel to crank bolts and the flywheel to pressure plate bolts for a '84 T/A 305 with 5-speed? I've been going thru my shop manual trying to find these values, and I've noticed that the torque specs table for the 5.0 V8 is apparently missing....
Thanks once again!

real damn tight, actually i use a 1/2" impact on the flywheel to crank bolts and a 3/8" impact on the preasure plate bolts, along with some red loctite. i've never used a torque wrench on them.

They're the same as any other Chevy V8.
Based on the hardware sizes, as torque values always are, they're about 60-65 flywheel to crank, and 30-35 pressure plate to flywheel. The pressure plate bolts are special bolts; don't try to use regular hardware, not even grade 8.
