Manual Valve Body in a 700

Hi Iwas wondering if you put a manual reverse vale body ina 700r4 tranny, could you eliminate the TV cable??
I know fromyears ago, when they used them in Chrysler Torque-Flites you were able to take the kickdown linkage off.
Thanks George

Use the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit and use the "stick shift" option, this will give you a forward pattern and it will still use the TV cable to adjust line pressure and this will keep the front pump alive. If you use the backward shift pattern, with no TV cable, you will have abrupt shifts and maximum line pressure all the time, and the pump will probably fail in a short time if you don't break the something else first. Pass on this!
