will a 2200 stall mess up my stock rear end or suspension?

i was questioned on the fact that i plan on getting a 2200 stall for my car.........some people think that it will break my rear end...........should i believe them or not?

i figured i will be fine just as long as i dont put drag slicks on there
right?

All I have is the factory rear, I was hoping to implode it when I put in the TH350 w/ 3500 stall, consistent 1.80-1.82 short times but it never happened. I've heard countless horror stories, but I am on the "had good luck so far" list. It will be replaced with a Ford 9", but I'm pretty impressed with the ole girl. Handled the whole season and never gave any sign of letting go.

With that Stall Speed (2200) which is only 600 over stock you will not blow your rear axle or supension. Also, I would NOT belive these SO CALLED EXpects, the Torque Convertor has nothing to do with those parts.

I have a 2800 in my car and haven't had any problems. My best 60ft time was 1.99. My buddy pulled a 1.7x 60ft on this converter behind his LT1 and did have trouble with his rear, but that may have been due to a poor gear install. Defenately get a tranny cooler also.

I dont think it would be a problem. I am thinking about adding a 2000 Stall to the 305 TPI. Do u think thats a good Stall for a mild 305 TPI or should I go bigger. I have 3.42 gears also.

Thanks alot
