Really slick pavement.

An open rear end can spin both tires, it's just highly unlikely. Usually the weight is “pulled off” the RR tire and that’s what causes it to spin.

Why do you want something besides posi? There are a couple other things, but posi is the most streetable. You can use lockers or spools.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

You mean other than LSD (Limited Slip Differential)?????

I have locker. Me like locker. Locker locks. Locker last forever. Never burn out clutch pak stuff. No need for special fluid.

Locker noisy though. Locker make snow hard to drive on. Locker primitive.

I like mine but I don't like driving my car everyday with it. It makes driving the car more of a chore. I'm old and I don't need anymore chores.

I'll be changing the motor this spring, so it'll be worth it then. That's the only reason I put it in.

Put in a spool, and and airbag in the passengers side spring. That combined with some nice slicks and you shouldn't have any problems with spinning ever again. You can actualy still have a problem with traction even if it is a spool or limited slip. The passenger's side of the rearend will sill try to lift off the ground and will have less contact with the ground. Adding an airbag will preload that side and keep it down so it wont come up when it does try to lift from the torque. If you used the airbag with an open rear, it would still help a little bit. An open rear spins on that side because it's losing pressure due to the torque from the motor lifting that side of the rear up.
Don't quote me on all this. This is what I was told by a friend of mine. He runs a 10 second Turbo Buick, so I figured he knew what was going on. He is using the spool+airbag and can still spin the tires with his line-lock. But that setup seems like it will let you hook-up enough for 10s, so it seems like it should be a pretty worthwhile setup.
