T-5 bracket question

T-5 bracket question

going to tranplant a t-5 in my vette and noticed a bracket on the rear drivers side similar to the one in this picture, what funtion does is serve?

thats the mount and bracket for the torque arm that goes to the rear axle. you probably dont need to worry about it, since it is pretty much F-body specific. however im not familiar with your suspension setup so i cant tell you for sure.

I do not have one on my muncie so I am guessing I can leave it off but I wanted to know what was first.
