have you ever had your t56 rebuilt?....if so how much?...i broke 2nd gear..

Transmission: 5 speed
Axle/Gears: 3.42's
Depends on what you broke. If it's just a shift fork you can probably just do it your self and it wouldn't be that hard. Manuel transmissions are really pretty simple.

Not these trannys... Rebuild usually runs $400-$500 +hard parts (gears etc.).

If you do choose to have it done, then take the tranny out yourself and deliver it to the shop. This will save a lot of money in labor. I did that to have the shop replace a broken peice inside mine. it was a shift rail or something.

would a blown 2nd gear synchro act like there is no 2nd gear at all?......
