9in in third gen how hard

9in in third gen how hard

i can get a 9in thats really nice all i need is the pumpkin but how hard is it to put in a 87 iroc. the 9in came ou tof a 57 fairlane but was completely rebuit for a project mustang but was to short

all you need to do to make it work is relocate the brackets off your facotry rear and fab up a little bracket for the torque arm, or make or buy a 4 link or ladder bar set up. it'll bolt right up. makesure the width is correct of change the width to something you can use.

Engine: 588 Alcohol BBC
Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The 57 Fairlane diff will be too short for a third gen also. Should be about 3" shorter on each side.
