I see alot of times about how you cant use the automatic starter for the 700R4 on the T56. Saying how the housing was too big and some other things. But after swapping in my T56 today the starter fit perfectly O_o every thing fit fine and it started up with ease. So to everyone considering doing a 700R4 to T56 swap you can use the auto starter.

Having a T-56 must be nice...

Yep but on the 2 cars that I helped convert over to a T56, I had to grind away some of the bellhousing so it would fit over the snout of the starter.

i know for a fact that the stock 350 TPI starter will NOT work. i had to get one of the LT1 mini starters. higher torque starter anyways.
ive heard that the 305 starter will work, but not the 350 (i have the 350)
I see I see...I guess thats the reason then. Cause right now I have the Lo3 motor up in there.
