i have owned to gta's one kicked down no matter wut speed i was at, but the one i have now only kicksdown at 20 and it wont downshift after that, do any of u possibly kno wut i can do to get it to downshift......?

 

That's "two", and not "to". You need to adjust the TV cable as per factory specs and see what happens. Let me know?

 

Where can a person find the 700r4 detent cable adjustment procedure? My 79 malibu, 87 iroc 350tpi +700r4 is doing the exact same thing. I keep palying with the cable but cant seem to find the right setup. I just put a vette govnor in and have adjusted to shift about 5400 rpms on the 1-2 shift, 5200 on the 2-3 shift. But i dont like the kickdown points. Any info would great,thanks
