throwout bearing question for T-5...
The car I'm putting a new clutch in broke the bellhousing and messed up the clutch and clutch fork. I'm installing a new clutch in it, and I read the instructions since I never did clutch in a Camaro before with a T-5, only T-56's. The old assembly that came out was literally messed up, bearing fragged, the whole 9 yards. Just making sure, the bearing side of the throwout bearing is supposed to butt up against the 'teeth' on the pressure plate, and the clutch fork slips on to the other side, right? Any particular way the bearing is supposed to be oriented? Thanks!

That is correct. Bearing toward the clutch. The entire fork, both pieces of it, belong inside the groove of the throwout bearing. Don't make the mistake of putting it on so that the springy piece of the fork is outside the groove, the clutch will not work right if it's that way.
