what is involved in changing the tranny mount. does the tranny need to be removed? i have a poly mount that i would like to install when i install my headders and full exhaust. thanks

 

Just put a floor jack under your tranny pan, jack up just enough to put tension on the pan, remove the crossmember bolts, and the one bolt on the mount, take out old mount, replace with new mount, bolt back up the crossmember bolts, check everything, then let down jack, and you are finished, usually takes about an hour.

an hour is kinda leghthy. the second time you do it it can take like 20 mins. it is really simple.

 

I would put a piece of wood across your pan and jack on that, spread the load out a bit so you don't push in on the pan and damage anything inside.
