It's probably the tranny mount very easy fix, or it could be U-joints but iam not to sure on that.

Changed the mount yesterday and I fixed the problem perfectly. Shifts great and no more clunck.

congrats! such a small part, however, stops the clunk that sounds like your car is falling apart!!

i have the same problem, i get a multiple of clunks when my tranny downshifts, i have a new Prothane tranny mount, so unless those things only last a few hundred miles i believe it is my u joints which i plan on changing within the next 2 weeks. Ill let you guys know if it fixes my problem.

how easy is this to do, i mean, if it's the mount, am i gonna have to un mount the tranny to change it? will i have to jack up the entire vehicle on a lift or will jacking in up with a floor jack do the trick?

to change the mount, i jacked up the front of the car, and put it on jackstands. Then i unbolted the mount and jacked up the tranny by the tranny pan (use a block of wood or something to keep from damaging the pan). THen just change the mount. Its that simple.
