had a similar problem happen to me. It was the 3-4 clutch pack going out. It'd feel as if it were slipping and gripping, higher than normal RPMs, then it just couldn't grip anymore and slid into neutral. COuld only drive it in second gear.

Your tranny will need a soft rebuild. Check around tranny shops and ask how much it will be. I personally, used it as an opportunity (more like excuse) to get a performance transmission. I will be needing one anyways with the build up I've got planned. They run upwards of 1000 bucks but can handle 500+ HP. Cheaper would be a rebuild.

I got a daily driver here so i dont want 500+ horses under the hood just yet. not until i get a new car this badboy becuz the ultimate **** and stang burner. i think the soft rebuild would do fine for now. my tranny has about 88,000 miles on it like the car so i think it will be all good

yeah, if performance isn't in mind yet, get the soft rebuild. stock can handle up to 300 HP too. It is a common problem for the TH700r4 to have the 3-4 gear clutches fail. They should've given us bullet proof TH200-4Rs but oh well
