Funny noise
Funny noise
Hi, I have a manual 5 speed 1988 Camaro 305 TBI:
I have recently been experiencing a funny noise from my car when I start it up after it has been left overnight.
The noise is a loud high note vibration type noise, the noise occurs if I dip the clutch soon after pulling away for the first time after I start the car up, letting the clutch up makes it stop, also pulling the car out of gear makes it stop.
This noise can continue whilst moving along or even after braking to a standstill. It does not happen after the car has warmed up.
The haynes manual troubleshooting guide seems to suggest that I might have a defective clutch release bearing, does this sound like the case? if so is it a serious problem that I should address immediately or would it be ok to leave it for now.
Thanks
