86 Iroc, shot tranny, replace with 83 T-5???

I have a handle on a good condition 86 Iroc with a shot tranny and I already own an 83 Berlinetta with a T-5.

Can I swap the fragged automatic with the Berlinetta's T-5?

Will I need a new crossmember?
Will I need a longer/shorter driveshaft?
Will I need any new sensors/harnesses?

thanks for you constructive input

If you search for long enough you will find answers to your questions, but since I'm posting anyway...

The crossmember, transmission mount, driveshaft, and torque arm are all the same for a 700R4 and a T5 (at least a NWC T5 like in your Berlinetta) Your torque arm bushing may end up being different. I don't know everything about the speedo drive unit, (like whether units from manuals or autos will fit into each other) but the cable will screw onto one from a manual or auto. You will need a harness for your backup light switch, it's a very common style of harness and should be able to be clipped & pocketed from most any junkyard if you know what you're looking for. You will have to cut & splice from your harness going to your auto shifter for this. Also you need to cut the Neutral safety switch wires and either run them to your clutch safety switch that will be with your clutch pedal, or half-@ss it like I did and just connect the wires together to bypass all that.
